TRIP Canada - Re-building Sri Lanka

On December 26, 2004 the 2nd largest earthquake ever recorded created a massive tsunami that devastated the coastal areas of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand. Hundreds of thousands of people died, and millions were left homeless. Out of this disaster an organization called TRIP Canada (Tsunami Relief Involvement Program) was born, which has been helping re-build homes lost on the island of Sri Lanka ever since 2005. Each year for the past 4 years groups of volunteers from Canada have made the journey to Sri Lanka to help rebuild a village, and create a community for those villagers who lost thier homes and are still, 4 years later, living in destitute conditions. So far 24 homes have been built, along with a community center and a school.
I am joining TRIP Canada this March/April to help finish building another 4 houses.

Being an amatuer photographer, I am selling hand-made original photo cards to help raise funds for TRIP Canada and for the building supplies required to complete our 4 houses. Below are sample images that will be used on the cards, which are 5X7, antique white, with envelopes, and blank inside for use as thank you cards, birthday cards, or multi-use note cards. Below is also a link to a short video clip called "Everyday Hero" an inspiring story of the work TRIP Canada has been doing in Sri Lanka, which aired on Global TV.

Having a roof over our heads is a basic necessity we all deserve to have - please join me in helping 4 families in the village of Tangalle, Sri Lanka have a place to call home after 5 long years. Thank you in advance for your support!
